Jain Acharya Lokesh, Founder of Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti and the World Peace Centre, paid a courtesy visit to renowned spiritual saint Pujya Premanand Ji Maharaj during his one-day stay in Vrindavan. During this meeting, both saints held an in-depth discussion on issues of national and international importance, including world peace, peace education, and the spiritual development of the younger generation.
Both spiritual leaders agreed that in the present times it is essential to connect religion with spirituality, as spirituality alone can pave a sustainable path toward global peace.
Jain Acharya Lokesh said to Premanand Ji Maharaj, “Efforts are being made with full sincerity to bring an end to the Ukraine–Russia conflict. I request you to pray that these efforts achieve success at the earliest.” In response, Premanand Ji Maharaj stated that such an outcome is possible only through the path of spirituality.
Premanand Ji Maharaj said, “World peace cannot be achieved through policies alone; it is possible only through the purification of the human mind. When an individual’s inner self is at peace, only then can peace be established in society, the nation, and the world. Today, it is extremely important to guide the youth toward a spiritual path based on love, compassion, and service.”
Jain Acharya Lokesh remarked, “Ahimsa (non-violence) is not merely a concept, but a way of life. For world peace, it is necessary to institutionalize interfaith dialogue, compassion, and cooperation. Peace education should be made an integral part of the formal education system.”
During the discussion, it was also suggested that spiritual leadership programs be initiated for youth, and that moral education and peace-oriented curricula be promoted in schools.
This meeting has taken place at a time when global tensions and polarization are increasing. In such a scenario, the shared dialogue between the two saints is being seen as a positive and meaningful initiative toward promoting harmony and peace in society.
